Such decorations always give me a lot of fun! Every heart should be different and I have played around with the different colors, structures and edgings. I have made the hearts for 3 weeks in advance and frozen vacuum packed on a cutting board. The colorful beads are formed a few days earlier, I had 9 pieces left over after decorating the cake, although I have not counted in the making :-)

Funky hearts for the cake course
fit the standard time on "Valentine" quite well with the cake course, I have given yesterday. After the somewhat colorless cake that I made last year for Valentine's Day, this year it had to be something colorful and modern. A small picture that I found on Google with the words funky and hearts, served as an inspiration to me ... - Maybe you can find it, too, if you go on a quest! Created
I have the heart, using a paisley mat structure - so a mat like I've already used for the Funky Flowers cake, with different Kreisausstechern and my role herbs.

The edges of the carrier heart I have provided with different cutting edges and it uses 2 cutting wheels, as well as my old wave-cut scissors was used.
I was not quite satisfied with the fondant, which I had mixed this time with marzipan and therefore very large pores look like to see some pictures on the above is good. Initially I had planned to make a Lübeck nut cake and I wanted to have a marzipan coating, because the requirement is for such a nut cake. Instead, it is now but a modified Fries Cake (remember yet my Fries cakes test ?) and become the black marzipan Fondantmischung I used anyway. Approximate mixing ratio of 3 parts 1 part of fondant and marzipan: taste good, but visually not really acceptable to me! The combination of plum jam and cream in conjunction with the loose soil is actually a dream!
As always arose again in yesterday's course totally different subscriber-cakes, each of which is something very special. I am always amazed at the ideas and designs resulting from creative collaboration in the course!
